The short answer is YES! This is an issue that affects all of us - if we, as youth, do not take ownership of our planet now, what will happen? Do we really want to allow the marginalization of nature, while we stand on the sidelines, too busy surfing social media and texting our friends?
Nature has amazing wonders to share, both big and small. If we do not take the time to learn about them, then they are lost to us.
Mission Not Impossible: Kill Wildlife Trafficking is a project run by high schooler Jackie Ashkin as part of her Girl Scouts Gold Award Project. Its aim is to educate the youth of Penang - the people with the power to make a difference - about the wonders awaiting them in their back yards.
If you care, you can make it stop. It really can be as simple as that.
